Our Story (A Local Legacy)
Our location has a proud local legacy. Halls Tyres & Mechanical was originally established in 1972 by Ray Hall, a Murwillumbah local. Around 2010, Laurie and Sue Hall—Ray Hall’s nephew and his wife—took over the business and later relocated it from #10 to #1 Mayfield Street as it continued to grow and serve the region.
In September 2025, Jake and Hannah took over and began guiding the business into a new era as Jakes Tyres, focused on delivering an even higher level of service to customers across the wider Tweed area. With a commitment to keeping strong local stock levels and providing fast, efficient, professional service, Jake is working to expand the team, employ more locals from Murwillumbah and the Tweed Shire, and grow mobile service capability into surrounding regions, including the Gold Coast.
